Kia is preparing for the official market launch of the new 2018 Stinger this December in the U.S., dropping along the way a new extensive gallery.
Kia describes the new Stinger as a five-seat sportback, designed to take on the best of its class and become the highest-performance model in the brand’s history.

Prices for the long-awaited 2018 Kia Stinger are expected to start at US$ 32,795 including destination fees when U.S. sales commence in December.

The engine range includes a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 255 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, which allow the Stinger a 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds. The range-topping twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine produces 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, making the Stinger capable of a 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and of doing 167 mph flat out. Both engines are coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Additionally, the base model will come standard with rear-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and leather seats.

If customers want to opt for all-wheel drive, the price of the base Stinger will rise by US$ 2,200. Prices then increase to US$ 37,895 for the Stinger Premium with added features including an 8-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster, a sunroof and LED headlights. As for the much more potent Stinger GT with its 365 hp, twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6, prices will begin at approximately US$ 39,895.

Three different trim levels of the Stinger GT will be sold. The base model has similar features to the base 2.0-liter Stinger but adds some more sporty exterior panels. For US$ 44,395, customers can purchase the Stinger GT1 that combines the features of the regular Stinger Premium with the more aggressive styling and V6 of the GT. Last but not least will be the US$ 50,395 Stinger GT2, complete with a limited-slip differential, head-up display, automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic headlights, adaptive cruise control and a power-opening trunk.

Kia says it will release final pricing details for the Stinger before the end of the year.
