At Auto Expo 2014, Honda introduced a new concept named Honda Vision XS-1. According to a report from Sina this week, Honda is planning to put the Vision XS-1 concept into production.

The Honda Vision XS-1 is a study model designed to represent the company’s creativity in designing compact vehicles. It is a three-row MPV with seats for seven people and has sliding doors with large openings for easy ingress and egress. It is designed keeping in mind the company’s M/M (man maximum, machine minimum) concept in which the car’s design is such that it offers maximum possible space for people and occupies minimum space for mechanical components.

At the Honda Vision XS-1’s debut, Honda clearly stated that it has no plans to put the concept to production. “There is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment,” the company said. However, fast-forward 2017, plans have changed. The company now wants to launch a crossover derived from this concept in China. The Chinese report says that the Honda Vision XS-1 crossover will slot between the Honda Vezel and Honda XR-V.
