The Mitsubishi e-Evolution Concept has been teased this week ahead of its world premiere at next month’s Tokyo motor show. While only a single, shadowy image has been released, the company has confirmed the “flagship concept car” will feature a hybrid powertrain with four-wheel drive, along with artificial intelligence (AI) technology – potentially hinting at semi- or full-autonomous driving capability.

Mitsubishi has also confirmed the e-Evolution concept will sport an SUV coupe body shape, pretty much confirming previous reports that the replacement for the Lancer Evolution series would be an electrified SUV.
