The new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is going on sale in
the UK this January, with three available trim levels and an entry-level price
of £ 21,275 OTR. All version will be powered by an all-new 1.5-liter
turbocharged petrol unit, putting down 163 horses and 250 Nm of
torque. Apart from the six-speed manual transmission, buyers will be able to
opt for a new automatic with Sport mode (paddle shifters) as well.
Also available are two and four-wheel drive systems,
the latter using Mitsubishi's latest Super All-wheel Control (S-AWC) tech,
which offers a choice of three drive modes - Auto, Snow and Gravel. The entry
level '2' version comes with a touch-pad controller, smartphone display audio
(Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), rear view camera, DAB radio with six
speakers, cruise control, climate control, LED DRLs, Bluetooth, 16"
alloys, privacy glass and heated door mirrors.
Eclipse Cross 3 versions (Manual - £ 22,575 /
Automatic £ 23,850 / Automatic 4WD £ 25,350) add 18" alloys, a heads-up
display, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate
control, keyless entry and start, electrically folding door mirrors, silver
side sills and an electronic handbrake for the automatic versions.
The flagship Ecliose Cross 4 models cost £ 24,975
(manual) and £ 27,900 (Automatic 4WD) respectively, and feature leather trim,
electrically-adjustable driver's seat, electric opening panoramic roof,
Rockford Fosgate sound system with nine speakers, plus a suite of driver
assistance systems such as LED headlights, 360-degree parking camera, Blind
Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist and Adaptive Cruise
Control (on automatic models only).
Finally, in order to celebrate the launch of the
Eclipse Cross in the UK, Mitsubishi is also selling a special £ 26,825 'First
Edition' version, with only 250 units to be produced. This will have a premium
paint finish, carbon-finish bumper corner and side extension kit with red
inserts, plus additional silver styling details to the front and rear.
