It seems that Kia is looking to part ways with the
classic look of the first two generations Pro_Cee'd, as the third one will be
wrapped under an entirely new design.
That car is previewed by the Proceed Concept, which
was unveiled ahead of its 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show premiere, but for whatever
reason, the automaker refuses to use the words 'Shooting Brake' when talking
about its sleek shape.
Instead, it describes it as an "extended hot
hatch" that combines "a striking visual presence with a dash of
real-world versatility". Its presence is highlighted by a very attractive
profile, with a sloping roofline, missing B pillars, short front overhang, and
20-inch wheels. The Stinger-like front end, muscular proportions, distinctive
design cues, GT logo, and Lava Red paintwork also dominate its look.
Drivers are greeted by an illuminated outline of the
study's glasshouse as they approach the car, as this feature serves as "a
powerful nocturnal visual identified" that accentuates its shape. Besides
the exciting-looking show car, Kia will also present the new Stonic subcompact
crossover at Frankfurt, next week, alongside the facelifted Sorento, and
Picanto X-Line.
