The Royal Enfield Classic 350
Gunmetal Grey has started arriving in dealerships. The major change is the swingarm, which is borrowed
from the Royal Enfield Thunderbird. This setup allows the inclusion of a rear
disc brake as well. The rear disc is a 240 mm unit with a single piston
calliper. The front wheel uses a 280 mm disc with a two-piston calliper. ABS is
absent.
The front and rear mudguards, fuel tank and side
boxes are in the Gunmetal Grey colour. The stickers on the fuel tank, toolbox,
and air filter box are in matte black. The bike gets a dark tan seat that is
taken from the existing Classic Chrome.
The motorcycle employs a 346 cc single cylinder twin
spark engine that makes 19.8 bhp of power at 5,250 rpm and 28 Nm of torque at
4,000 rpm. The engine pairs with a 5-speed transmission. 35 mm front telescopic
fork and twin rear gas-charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload
suspend the single downtube frame. The frame uses the engine as the stressed
member.
The front end gets 19-inch spoke wheel while the
rear features 18-inch unit. A 90-section front and a 120-section rear wrap the
wheels. The fuel tank can hold 13.5 litres of juice and the motorcycle tips the
scale at 192 kg, kerb. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey variant
costs INR 1,59,677 on-road, Chennai. Bookings for the motorcycle have already
