Rajputana Customs, a renowned custom bike builder from Rajasthan has made a tastefully minimalistic Royal Enfield Classic 500, called the RE-500 Basic.

Minimalism, if done right, turns a lot of heads. Case in point is the RE-500 Basic. With a simplistic chrome tank and a matte black body paint, the bike is reminiscent of the simple motorcycling days of yore. The motorcycle gets a custom saddle fitted to the frame without the seat springs.

The stock front telescopic fork is stock gets gaiters. The rear unit is stock as well, but with black finishing. Apart from the tank and seat the blokes have completely draped the bike in black, including the spoke wheels. They are shod with dual-purpose MRF tyres. The rear indicators are fitted at the suspension mounting points. They flank the minimalistic chopped fender.

For better ergonomics, the bike gets Moto handlebars. They have replaced the fuel injector with a carburettor. The 499 cc single cylinder engine in its stock form makes 27.2 bhp of power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 5-speed transmission. The RE-500 Basic continues to use the stock 280 mm front disc and 153 mm rear drum units.

Rajputana Customs took four weeks for this particular build. This modification costs INR 1.5 lakhs, excluding the donor bike.
