The Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Royal Enfield
Classic 500 will be updated with new colours and features. The two bikes will employ the swingarm from the Royal
Enfield Thunderbird and get a rear disc brake as well. This modification will
allow the fitment of ABS line when Royal Enfield decides to add, as per the
2018 norms.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets a new colour
called ‘Gun Grey’. The front and rear mud guards, fuel tank and side boxes are
of Gun Grey colour. The stickers on the fuel tank, toolbox, air filter box and
mudguard are in matte black. The bike gets a dark tan seat that is taken from
the existing Classic Chrome.
The new colour of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 is
called the Stealth Black. The powertrain is finished in the similar colour
scheme as the Royal Enfield Thunderbird. The headlamp ring, handlebar and
handlebar clamp are black. The spoke wheels get black power coating. The body
panels such as fuel tank, fenders, tool box, and air-filter box get matte black
colour.
Apart from these changes, the mechanicals is likely
to remain the same. The timeline of the launch of the updated bikes is not
known, but expect Royal Enfield to make an announcement regarding the same in
the coming weeks.
