The Skoda Kodiaq’s specifications for India have
leaked online ahead of its launch on 4 October, 2017. Team-BHP reader Athul
Benoy has shared a specification sheet of the SUV, revealing most of its key
technical details.
The Indian-spec Skoda Kodiaq is 4,697 mm long, 1,882
mm wide and 1,665 mm tall, and has a 2,791 mm-long wheelbase. It offers a
ground clearance of 188 mm. The Skoda Kodiaq is internationally available in 5-
and 7-seat versions. India will get the 7-seat version, which has 270 liters of
luggage space. The luggage space is expandable to 630 liters on folding the
third-row seats and 2,005 liters on folding the second-row seats too.
The Indian-spec Skoda Kodiaq is powered by the
2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces 150 PS from 3,500-4,000 rpm and 340
Nm of torque from 1,750-,3000 rpm. This engine is paired to the 7-speed DSG
automatic transmission. The fuel economy figure is marked at 16.25 km/l. Skoda
does have more powerful, 180 PS 2.0-litre TSI petrol and 190
PS 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine options for the Kodiaq internationally, but
it’s unknown if any of them are a part of the Indian launch. There’s no word on
the availability of a 4×4 system either.
Skoda should offer the Kodiaq in India with features
like full-LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels,
LED tail lamps, three-zone Climatronic air conditioning, 8.0-inch Amundsen
touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and SmartLink+ for Apple
CarPlay Android Auto and MirrorLink and Area View system with surround-view
cameras.
