Along with the VW Polo and VW Ameo’s Anniversary
Edition models, Volkswagen has introduced the VW Vento ALLSTAR in India. The
special edition Vento is also one of the Volksfest 2017 celebration models.
The VW Vento ALLSTAR is a follow-up to the VW Polo
ALLSTAR that from last year. The Indian-spec Vento ALLSTAR is more stylish than
the Malaysian-spec Vento ALLSTAR. The special edition model features Blue Silk
colour, Linas alloy wheels and an ‘ALLSTAR’ emblem on the B-pillar. Other highlights
include aluminium pedal clusters, black and grey interiors and front centre
armrest with rear AC vents. Blue Silk is probably just the launch colour, and
Volkswagen will likely offer more colour choices.
The standard VW Vento is available in four grades:
Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus. The Vento ALLSTAR is based
on the Vento Comfortline. Thus, standard equipment should include electrically
adjustable ORVMs, leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome accents and piano
black finish, leather-wrapped gearshift knob, cruise control, Climatronic
automatic climate control, 4-speaker audio system with Bluetooth connectivity
and rear centre armrest.
The VW Vento Allstar should have the same
configurations as the VW Vento Comfortline. 105 PS 1.6-litre MPI naturally
aspirated petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission, 110 PS 1.5-litre TDI
turbocharged diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission/7-speed DSG
automatic transmission and 105 PS 1.2-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine with
7-speed DSG automatic transmission are the Comfortline grade’s available
configurations.
