Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Refreshed
Bajaj Platina ComforTec in India at a price of INR 46,656, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The main feature of the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec
is the LED DRLs on top of the headlamp. Bajaj claims that it is the first
Indian bike in the 100cc-150cc segment to come with LED DRL and consumes 88%
less power and four times longer life. It also comes with new graphics, new
instrument cluster design and superior tyres. The bike is available in ebony
black with silver decals and cocktail wine with red stickers, across all Bajaj
dealerships across India.
The USP of the bike is the ComforTec feature. The
Platina comes with 28% longer travel front telescopic suspension and 22% longer
rear twin SNS shock absorbers resulting in superior absorption of jerks,
therefore delivering maximum comfort to the rider. It also sports a
‘spring-soft’ seat, rubber footpads and directional tyres that enhance ride
comfort and stability.
The new Bajaj Platina ComforTec employs a 102cc
single cylinder 2-valve DTS-I engine. It generates 7.9 PS of power at 7,500 rpm
and 8.34 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Both kick and electric starter are
standard, and the claimed top speed is 90 kmph. The engine mates with a 4-speed
transmission. Brakes include 130 mm drum at the front and 110 mm drum at the
rear. The new
Platina ComforTec rivals the Hero Splendor series, TVS Sport and Hero HF Deluxe
series.
