The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS was silently launched in India. The ABS FI version of the bike was spotted at a dealership, courtesy Motoroids.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 gets a single channel ABS, just like its faired sibling, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. This particular motorcycle comes with fuel injection as well, with ‘FI’ stickers adorning on the tank extensions. It also gets ABS sticker on the front fender, and blue rim stickers.

Apart from the fuel injection and the single channel ABS unit, the mechanical underpinnings of the motorcycle is the same. Powering the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is a 199.5 cc single cylinder triple-spark DTS-I engine with liquid cooling. It makes 23.5 PS of power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The powerplant pairs with a 6-speed gearbox.

Cycle parts include telescopic front fork and Nitrox monoshock at the rear. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 100-section front and 130-section rear tubeless tyres. For braking, the bike employs 280 mm front and 230 mm rear disc. The single channel ABS prevents the front wheel from locking up during hard braking. It thus improves the bike’s control during emergency situations.

The bike costs INR 1.09 lakhs, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The ABS variant is INR 12,616 more than the standard non-ABS version. The NS200 is now the cheapest ABS offering in the country from Bajaj. The bike competes with TVS Apache RTR 200 and Yamaha FZ25 in the segment.
