Chevrolet is now celebrating with the introduction of
the new Centennial Edition. Available on both the Colorado and Silverado
pickups, the Centennial models feature special paint jobs and trim to help
celebrate 100 years since the introduction of the Chevrolet One-Ton truck in
1918.
Both the mid-size and full-size trucks are decked
out in a special shade of Centennial Blue. A rather handsome dark hue,
complemented by hundred-year door badges and heritage bowtie emblems front,
rear, on the spray-in bedliner, and on the accessory floor mats.
The Colorado Centennial Edition also gets a rear
bumper and front grille frame painted to match, with 18-inch wheels and chrome
tow hooks, belt moldings, mirror caps, and door handles. Meanwhile the larger
Silverado Centennial Edition wears special 22-inch wheels with off-road tires,
as well as chrome tow-hooks and steering-wheel badge.
The 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Centennial Edition is
based on the Z71 trim and will be available in either crew- or extended-cab
models starting in November. The Silverado version is based on the LTZ Z71 Crew
Cab and hits dealers later this month.
Neither will be the last of Chevy Trucks' centennial
celebrations, which kicked off this past weekend at the
truckstravaganza that is the State Fair of Texas and will conclude with a big
bash at Texas Motor Speedway on December 16.
