These two special edition 2018 Chevrolet Colorado
trucks will make their public debut at this year's SEMA Show on October 31st in
Las Vegas. The 2018 Colorado ZR2 Midnight Edition features an all-black exterior,
black bowtie emblems and 17" five-spoke black wheels, including the spare.
It also has a black sport bar with off-road LED lights and ZR2 logos on the
sport bar sail panels.
As for the ZR2 Dusk Edition, it's identical to the
ZR2 Midnight, although it can be purchased in all other ZR2 exterior finishes,
plus the black accents.
What sets the Colorado ZR2 apart from the regular
model is the fact that it's more adept to rock crawling, desert running and
daily drivability. It features a 3.5" wider track and sits 2
inches higher than its more "basic" counterpart.
ZR2 models also come with an off-road suspension and
segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers - the first off-road shocks to
feature position-sensitive spool valve technology. Other standard features
include the front electronic locking differential, electronic locking rear
differential, hill descent control, aluminum skid plate, off-road rocker
protection, Autotrac transfer case, transfer case shield, four-wheel disc
brakes and modified rear axle.
At SEMA, the ZR2 Midnight Edition crew cab model
will be shown with a 3.6-liter V6 engine and will feature Chevrolet Accessories
and Chevrolet Performance parts - such as a bed-mounting spare tire carrier,
Performance Air Intake, Performance Exhaust and all-weather floor liners with
ZR2 logos.
The ZR2 Dusk Edition on the other hand is finished
in Summit White and features Chevy's 2.8-liter Duramax turbo diesel, plus the
diesel-exclusive Performance Cold Air Intake system. The two trucks will join
approximately 20 other Chevrolet models in Las Vegas.
