Word is that the 2018 Isuzu D-Max facelift will appear in Thailand next month, most likely at the 2017 Thai Motor Expo in end-November. This is according to Thai website headlightmag, which also reported that the Toyota Hilux too will gain updates within the same timeframe.

Isuzu’s popular pick-up truck, now in its second generation, was introduced in 2011, before being given the customary mid-life update in 2015. If true, this new facelift will be its second in two years, likely to keep it fresh enough to fend off newer, more advanced rivals.

The report says the D-Max feature a mild visual makeover at the front, plus new colour options. Engine options should stay unchanged (Thailand received an all-new 1.9 litre Ddi turbodiesel motor in 2015), but it should get a bump in safety – the D-Max’s airbag count maxes out at just two in Thailand.
