It’s been seven years since Lexus first introduced
the CT200h, its entry-level hybrid model and now customers in the UK can get
the 2018 facelifted version. UK has been the number 1 market in Europe for the
Lexus CT200h, with more than 27,000 cars sold there – one third of the total
sold across the region.
Lexus says it’s the most significant update of the
CT200h, featuring a reworked exterior design for more character, with new
lights and DRLs, a new mesh pattern for the front grille, new bezels for the
fog lights, a new tailgate garnish and more.
The interior was already one of the best places to
sit in its class, with high-quality materials but the facelift brought the
company’s latest 10.3-inch infotainment system which also has a clearer display
and a handy split-screen function. There is also a wider palette of colors to
choose from for the upholstery, including two-tone options.
Lexus has also refreshed the F Sport version in the
2018 CT200h’s range, which makes the exterior a bit sportier thanks to an
exclusive mesh pattern, the grille’s metallic black finish, jet black detailing
and more.
All versions above the entry-level SE grade will
adopt the Lexus Safety System+ range of active safety systems, which includes a
Pre-Collision System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Lane
Keep Assist, Automatic High Beam and Road Sign Assist.
The hybrid powertrain remains unchanged and offers
134 hp of total power, CO2 emissions that start from 88g/km when fitted with
16-inch alloys and a combined fuel consumption of 74.3mpg UK. Prices for the
2018 Lexus CT200h kick off at £ 23,495 in the UK for the base SE grade and can
reach all the way up to £ 31,245 for the F Sport Premier Pack model.
