Lexus introduced the 2018 Lexus LS in Japan last week, and with that, the car’s RHD version is ready now.

The 2018 Lexus LS is available in Japan in two models: LS 500 and LS 500h. The walkaround video shows the latter. The LS 500h is 5,235 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,450-1,460 mm tall. The fifth generation LS doesn’t have two different wheelbase versions. The standard measurement is 3,125 mm. The full-size luxury sedan offers a ground clearance of 140 mm.

The Lexus LS 500h’s hybrid powertrain combines the 8GR-FXS petrol engine with the 2NM electric motor. The 3.5-litre Dual VVT-i naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine puts out 299 PS and 356 Nm of torque. The electric motor generates 180 PS and 300 Nm of torque. The sources together develop 359 PS. The fuel economy rating (JC08 mode) is 16.4 km/h (RWD)/14.4 km/l (AWD).

Noteworthy features of the 2018 Lexus LS 500h include 3-eye full-LED headlamps with sequential turn indicators, 20-inch alloy wheels, full-LED tail lamps, moonroof, semi-aniline leather seats with heating and ventilation functions, 28-way power adjustment for the front seats, 22-way power adjustment for the rear seats, four-zone climate control system, infotainment system with a 12.3-inch display and navigation and 23-speaker Mark Levinson reference 3D surround sound system.

Lexus builds the GA-L platform-based all-new Lexus LS in Tahara, Japan. Prices start at JP¥ 9,800,000 for LS 500 and JP¥ 11,200,000 for LS 500h. The LS 500h is now available at dealerships in Japan, while the LS 500 will follow on 18 December.
