BMW announced a pair of new special editions for the
X5 and X6 models, which bring more equipment and exclusive features. Starting with the BMW X5, the new Special
Edition is a combination of the existing M Sport Package with the Dakota
leather trim, including heated front seats.
The Alcantara/leather combo is
finished in Anthracite/Black, with BMW also offering the extended Merino
leather upholstery from its Individual range as an option in five different
colors. The BMW X5 Special Edition also comes with sun
protection glass and a Multifunction Instrument Display. All versions of the X5
are available with the new Special Edition, bar the M50d.
As for the X6, BMW has created the M Sport Edition
which comes with exclusive features, such as the Long Beach Blue metallic paint
and the carbon fiber interior strips. Customers will also get to choose between
Carbon Black and Mineral White for the exterior as alternatives.
The new X6 M Sport Edition gets all the usual M
Sport goodies and then an also exclusive set of 20-inch M light-alloy wheels or
a set of optional 21-inch wheels. All versions of the X6 can be had with the
new M Sport Edition, with the exception of the M50d.
BMW says that the two new special edition X5 and X6
models will become available from December 2017.
