Mercedes-Benz has made the GLS even more luxurious
with the launch of the new Grand Edition. The GLS Grand Edition is essentially
just a trim package available for the GLS 350d, GLS 400 and GLS 500 and
consists of modifications both in the cabin and across the exterior of the huge
SUV.
Inside, the Grand Edition incorporates designo nappa
leather with diamond quilting and Budapest-design piping on the seats. The
dashboard is also bathed in nappa leather and there are espresso brown velour
floor mats and new ambient lighting. To receive these exclusive touches, owners
will have to fork out 5,900 euros (US$ 6,911).
From the outside, the GLS Grand Edition is
distinguished from lesser variants with the 20-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels with
black and silver painted elements. Additionally, there are exclusive badges on
the front quarter panels. The exterior package costs 2,300 euros (US$ 2,693).
