This is the new Baojun 530 SUV, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto
Show in November and launch on the Chinese car market in Q1 2018. The Baojun
530 is a mid-size 5-seat SUV that will be positioned above the Baojun 510. The
front look super sharp with razor-like lights and a lot of shine.
The rear looks a bit messy, too many lines and the
lights are unpretty. The pipe tips are located ultra low in the bumper. The red
strip connecting the reverse lights is kinda hip.
Engines are 1.8 with 135 hp and 1.5 turbo with 150
hp. Dimension size is 4655/1835/1760 mm, and wheelbase is 2750 mm. Price of the Baijun 530 will start around 85,000
yuan or US$ 12,000.
Baojun is an entry level brand under the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, in which GM has a 43% stake.
The other partners are SAIC (aka Shanghai Auto) and Wuling Automotive. SAIC and GM are also tied up in the giant Shanghai-GM joint venture that makes Buick,
