On
the occasion of the 2016 Milan Design Week, Samsung has chosen to join forces
with an Italian artisan, a bicycle frame builder, to offer the Samsung Smart
Bike, a connected bike that takes advantage of modern technology.
Don’t
look for an electric motor on this bike, that is not the exercise, the Samsung
Smart Bike offers a maximum connectivity with your smartphone.
The
frame has been imagined by a master in the field, Giovanni Pelizzoli with
stylish design but especially useful: its curved aluminum tubes neutralize most
of the vibrations. Then, the Samsung phone allows you to control a series of
components / accessories.
The
frame houses a (small) battery to power the camera but also a wi-fi and
Bluetooth connection, plus an Arduino Module. This Samsung Smart Bike is also a springboard
for the Samsung Maestros Academy which aims to promote a new generation of
(Italian) artisans.
