Here is a newcomer in the landscape at 2016, an electric motorcycle that puts an historic brand back at the front of the stage, Saroléa a Belgian brand born in 1850 resurfaces today with an electric superbike prototype called SP7 featuring a retro look and a full carbon construction, from its monotube frame to the swingarm.

Its engine and chassis have been designed and built in-house, locally. On the performance side, the Saroléa SP7 houses an electric motor that develops 130 kW and 400 Nm of torque. With a weight og 200 kg, its maximum speed is set at 250 km/h while the 0 to 100 km/h takes only 2.8 seconds.

Revealed at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet the SP7 will be on the starting grid of the TT Zero this year and the Championship FIM eRoadRacing.

Its retro style reminds us of the electric Norton Moto Electra, we will also remember another Belgian project, the Imperia GP that also perpetuates a name and expertise.
