Based on the Rapid Spaceback, the Atero Coupe is the third student car from Skoda Academy, following the CitiJet and FunStar.

Responsible for reshaping its body is a team of 26 apprentices, who started working on the study at the end of 2015, moving its B-pillars to the rear, inclining the C-pillars and gave the roof line more rake. Finished in metallic Black Magic, the Atero has Corrida Red accessories, LED headlights with red backlights, long edge spoiler on the realigned tailgate and modded taillights.

The same theme is continued inside, where red lighting has been used for a sportier atmosphere on top of the regular Rapid. The car also benefits from an 1,800-watt audio amplifier, powering 14 speakers and a boot-located subwoofer with 400-watt.

Powering the concept is a 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine, rated at 125 PS, connected to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Stopping power comes from ventilated and perforated brake discs that sit behind the black-painted with red stripes 18-inch wheels, in Turini design, borrowed from the Octavia.

Founded in 1927, the Skoda vocational school offers 3- and 4-year training courses in technical subjects. It currently has almost 900 full-time students, enrolled in 14 vocational courses, out of whom 14 percent are women, and there are roughly 100 employees improving their qualifications with further training courses.
