Skoda UK has opened the order books for the new
Kodiaq Scout, the first addition to its seven-seater SUV since it arrived on
the market earlier this year.
Slotting between the SE L and Edition grades, and
priced from £ 32,330 (US$ 43,031), the higher-riding version of the Kodiaq gets
bespoke exterior features, with special 'off-road' bumpers, rear diffuser,
Scout plaques, and 19-inch Crater Anthracite alloy wheels.
Inside, it has a standard 7-seat layout, LED ambient
lighting, aluminum pedals, wood finish dashboard and door inserts, Alcantara
seats and door panels.
Those looking into the new Skoda Kodiaq Scout will
have to choose between two petrol offerings: 1.4 TSI with 150 PS and a
6-speed manual gearbox, and 2.0 TSI with 180 PS, mated to a 7-speed DSG
automatic transmission.
There is also one 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine, in
two outputs: 150 PS and 190 PS; the former has a standard
six-speed manual or an optional 7-speed DSG, while the latter comes exclusively
with a 7-speed DSG.
All Skoda Kodiaq Scouts
feature four-wheel drive, an off-road mode that tweaks the chassis, engine, and
brakes for rough terrain, Hill Descent Assist, and 'rough road package' with a
tough engine guard and underbody stone guard.
