JA
Motorsports from Coimbatore has taken the humble Tata Nano and turned it into a
Super Nano. They have spent INR 25 lakhs on its modification. This means that
it is the most expensive Tata Nano ever made at 10 times the price of the standard
model.
Super
Tata Nano is powered by a 1.3 liter engine offering 230 bhp and claiming a top
speed of over 190 km/h. It has a power to weight ratio of 384.61 PS/tonne. For
reference, the same of KTM RC 390 has only 262 PS/tonne.
JA
Motorsports, a team responsible for building race cars, has spent INR 25 lakhs
(US$ 39,050) on modifying the Tata Nano giving it more power and performance.
Added
track width on the front and rear, MRF ZLO slick tires, flared wheel arches and
massive front and rear bumpers are evident on the Super Tata Nano. It also gets
smoked head and tail lamps, carbon alloy wheels and new body kit along with AP
Racing disc brakes.
Interiors
of Super Tata Nano also receive some modifications with blacked-out dashboard
with carbon fiber accents, Recaro seating and flat bottom steering wheel. A
digital racing instrument panel, aluminum paddle shifters and foot pedals add
to its sporty appeal.
Sadly,
this car is not for sale. Neither it is road legal. Autocar India has now taken
this car to test on a race track.
