The 2017 Hyundai ix35 debuted at Auto Shanghai 2017
but Hyundai had kept its interior hidden. Autohome.com.cn has recently posted
spy shots of the compact SUV, revealing its interior details.
Beijing-Hyundai has used beige for the dashboard and
seat upholstery, and black for the rest of the interior. The silver on the air
vents, centre console trim, engine start-stop button and the lower steering
wheel spoke goes well with the overall theme. There’s a large screen between
the central vertical air vents, for the infotainment system.
The 2017 Hyundai ix35 is 4,435 mm long, 1,860 mm
width and 1,670 mm tall. It has a 2,640 mm wheelbase. Earlier reports suggested
that the new Hyundai ix35 will sell in a 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine model
with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated
petrol engine model with a 6-speed manual/automatic transmission. Latest
reports say that Beijing-Hyundai will offer only the 2.0-litre engine model at
launch.
The 2017 Hyundai ix35 will go on sale in China on 15
November. It will replace the second-gen Hyundai Tucson which is still on sale
in the country.
