HCIL will reportedly launch the next-gen Honda Amaze in 2018. An Auto Expo debut on February 7, 2018, could also be on the cards. Autocar India has rendered the second generation model and shared the image on the cover of its December 2017 issue.

The 2018 Honda Amaze adopts a more aggressive face with slimmer headlamps and a sharply cut front bumper. The front end design is in line with MY2018 Honda products like the Odyssey and Accord. The 2018 Honda Amaze render also gets two-tone alloy wheels, which has become another staple feature of newer Honda products in India.

According to a report from June, the new Honda Amaze (codename: Honda 2UB) will be presented at the Auto Expo to the media on February 7, 2018. This will be the ‘all-new’ model that HCIL is expected to bring to the Expo. Honda will launch the relatively more popular Amaze in India before the next-generation Brio hatchback (codename: Honda 2UA). Production of the next-gen Amaze is set to commence in June 2018 reportedly.

The current Honda Amaze features a 1.2 L i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel engine. These engine options are likely to be carried over to the new model that arrives next year. Honda India’s product offensive includes the launch of the next-generation Amaze, CR-V, and the new Civic by 2019. The company is also expected to give the Jazz a facelift in 2018.
