Honda has taken the wraps off its 2018 Honda CB125R
at the 2017 EICMA show, in Milan, Italy. The 2018 Honda CB125R is the
entry-level offering in the ‘Sport Naked’ family; with the other two being the
CB300R and the range-topping CB1000R.
This motorcycle also features the Neo Sports Café
design language. Honda aims the bike squarely at style-conscious younger
riders. The instrument console is LCD, and provides speed, engine rpm, fuel
level and gear position, with warning lights arrayed across the top.
The lightweight Diamond frame is made of tubular and
pressed steel, with a steel swingarm. The frame houses a 125 cc single cylinder
SOHC engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling. The powerplant is capable
of generating 13.3 PS of power at 10,000 rpm; and 10 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm.
The powerplant pairs with a 6-speed transmission.
A 41 mm upside down front fork and a rear monoshock
hold the frame. Brakes include discs on both ends, with independent ABS and
IMU. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 110-section front and 150-section
rear tyres. The motorcycle comes with a 10-litre fuel tank, and with a mileage
of 48.4 km/l (WMTC mode), the CB125R can cover a distance of over 480 km on a
full tank. The motorcycle weighs 126 kg, kerb, and the seat is 819 mm high.
