The eighth generation Toyota Camry made its Middle East debut at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show last week. Toyota showcased the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid at the show.

New Toyota Camry Hybrid measures 4,885 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,445 mm in height. The hybrid sedan has a 2,825 mm wheelbase and a 145 mm ground clearance. It is powered by the A25A-FXS 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 178 PS at 5,700 rpm and 221 Nm of torque from 3,600-5,200 rpm. The 3NM electric motor generating 120 PS and 202 Nm of torque assists this TNGA-based engine. Both sources together deliver 211 PS. The all-new Camry’s hybrid variant has a fuel economy rating (JC08 test cycle) of up to 33.4 km/l.

The 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid features bi-beam LED headlamps with three-level stacked LED clearance lamps, 3D lower grille, 18-inch wheels and LED tail lamps. A large panoramic moonroof lets in sunlight and fresh air. Toyota has equipped the hybrid sedan with 7-inch colour driver information display, colour head-up display, genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat and an infotainment system with an 8-inch display and navigation.

Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors, has confirmed that the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid will go on sale in the Middle East next year.
