British
bike firm AJS have released this new café racer dubbed the Cadwell 125, which
is built in China along with the rest of the AJS range. Targeted at newer and
younger riders, it’s suitable for 17 year olds and A1 license holders who are
looking for a budget bike that’s on trend.
Powered
by a single-cylinder four-stroke that should see the Cadwell reach 65 mph,
there’s more than enough for the learner or city commuter on tap. It comes with
a few aftermarket options available too including chrome fenders, a flat
brat-style seat and a flyscreen.
With
an unladen mass of just 113 kg and a seat height of 740mm, it’s well suited to
shorter riders and isn’t going to intimidate.
It
comes with black or silver colour options and the spec is fairly basic but at a
wallet friendly £ 1898, you wouldn’t expect more and at this price it’s very
attractive for those who are just getting into biking. It’s already proving to
be a popular machine, with half of AJS’s stock already accounted for.
