Spy Shots showing the new FAW Senya R9 SUV testing
in China, looking very tasty in gold with a big silver shiny grille. The Senya
R9 is a new compact SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market next
May.
The Senya R9 will be positioned above the Senya R7.
Senya (森雅), also known as Xenia, is a brand under First Auto
Works (FAW). Xenia-branded cars are manufactured by FAW-Jilin, a FAW subsidiary
based in Jilin Province.
The interior looks very similar to the R7’s. Engines
will be the same. a 116 hp 1.6 and a 150 hp 1.5 turbo, both mated to a
five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.Price will range from about 80.000
to 120.000 yuan.
Large FAW logo at the back, trendy round lights, and
nicely integrated pipe tips. The Senya brand is aimed at second and third tier
cities, so sadly we won’t see much of this pretty behind in Beijing.
