Honda has introduced the Civic Red
at the Thailand International Motor Expo. The premiere at the exhibition, which
begins tomorrow and runs until December 11, essentially introduces a new
exterior colour for the tenth-gen FC fastback, in this case Rallye Red.
The shade is available for two of the four fastback
variants sold in the Kingdom – the 1.8 EL and the Turbo RS, the latter being
the vehicle in these pictures, identifiable by its particular five-spoke
17-inch wheel design. The Civic Red retains the model’s turbine-style 16-inch
wheel in its 1.8 EL guise.
No mention of new kit, and so it looks like there
are no revisions to the specifications and general equipment available for the
car, which was launched in Thailand in March last year.
Likewise, mechanical revisions, it’s business as
usual for the 1.8 litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine, which offers 141 hp at
6,500 rpm and 174 Nm at 4,300 rpm, and the 1.5 litre VTEC Turbo engine, which
puts out 173 hp at 5,500 rpm and 220 Nm between 1,700 and 5,500 rpm.
