Maruti Suzuki will expand the Maruti Celerio range
with the Maruti Celerio X this year. Leaked brochure scans shared by IAB reader
Tanmay have completely revealed details of the Maruti Celerio X.
The Maruti Celerio X features ‘X’ graphic &
grille design and black coloured bumper bezel at the front. Other exterior
highlights include bumper cladding, side cladding, black B-pillar, black ORVMs,
black door handles, black wheel covers/black alloy wheels and black roof rails.
Inside, the Maruti Celerio X has a black colour theme and unique seat
upholstery with orange highlights.
The Maruti Celerio X is 3,715 mm long, 1,635 mm wide
and 1,565 mm tall. It is 20 mm longer, 35 mm wider and 5 mm taller than the
Maruti Celerio. The car’s ground clearance, however, is the same – 120 mm.
Under the hood, there’s the K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine
producing 67 hp and 90 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission
is standard, but an AMT option is available across the range.
Maruti Suzuki will sell the Maruti Celerio X in VXi,
VXi (O), VXi AMT, VXi AMT (O), ZXi, ZXi (O), ZXi AMT and ZXi AMT (O)
configurations. Prices could start somewhere in the INR 4.5-5 lakh
(ex-showroom) range. Buyers will have five colour choices: Paprika Orange, Torque
Blue, Caffeine Brown, Arctic White and Glistening Grey. Paprika Orange and
Caffeine Brown are exclusive to the X variant.
