Another day and another electric automaker has previewed an
all-electric supercar it's working on which could rival the planets fastest
road cars.
The latest car comes courtesy of NextEV, a brand which fields an
entrant in the Formula E championship and originates from China. Previewed in a
detailed design sketch, the company's electric supercar is set to be revealed
in the flesh in November and soon after, will reach the production line in
limited numbers.
Electrek reports that the unnamed model will pump out over 1,360 hp of power, putting it on par with the Rimac Concept S and within
touching distance of the 1,500 hp Koenigsegg Regera. When combined with
earth-shattering torque figures, NextEV's supercar should accelerate to 100 km/h in well under 3 seconds.
As for the design of the vehicle itself, the pictured sketch
reveals a sleek, two door design absent of any traditional wing mirrors. The
model also appears to have gullwing doors and has a curved windscreen similar
to those made famous by Koenigsegg.
It's thought that once NextEV puts this model into production, it
will launch a more affordable electric car, potentially one to rival the Tesla
Model S.
