TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Apache RTR
200 Fi4V in the country at a price of INR 1,07,005, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi4V features
Twin-Spray-Twin-Port Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) technology. TVS says that
this technology ensures better drivability, faster throttle response and
considerable reduction in emission levels. These factors guarantee a linear
operation of the engine and better usable power under varied ambient conditions
thereby increasing the performance.
The 197.75 cc single cylinder engine with air and
oil cooling now develops 21 PS of power at 8,500 rpm; and 18.1 Nm of torque at
7,000 rpm. The powerplant mates with a 5-speed transmission, and the claimed
tops speed stands at 129 km/h. The motorcycle reaches 60 km/h from standstill
in 3.9 seconds (0.05 seconds faster than carb variant). The bike makes 0.95 PS
more than the carburetted version.
The cycle parts are the same as the carburetted
version. That’d include telescopic front fork; rear monoshock; 270 mm front and
240 mm rear petal discs. ABS is still absent. The motorcycle weighs 149 kg,
kerb, and comes with a 12-litre fuel tank. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod
with 90-section front and 130-section rear tubeless Remora tyres.
On the aesthetic front, the EFI variant comes with
Royal-Crown fly screen; and two colour variants are available: Pearl White and
Matte Yellow. The motorcycle is available in select cities.
