Honda is displaying the 2017 Honda CR-V diesel at
the 2017 Thai Motor Expo. Following the 2017 Honda CR-V petrol in April this
year, the 2017 Honda CR-V diesel went on sale in Thailand in May.
The fifth generation Honda CR-V is the first ever
Honda CR-V with a diesel engine option in Thailand. The 2017 Honda CR-V diesel
employs a brand new 1.6-litre i-DTEC TURBO engine. The turbocharged
four-cylinder diesel mill produces 160 PS at 4,000 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at
2,000 rpm. A 9-speed automatic transmission is standard in the diesel engine
model. A 4WD system is optional. Honda promises a fuel economy figure of up to
18.9 km/l.
The 2017 Honda CR-V diesel is available in E (2WD)
and EL 4WD configurations. Exterior highlights include LED headlights with LED
DRLs, LED front fog lights with chrome garnish, 18-inch alloy wheels (EL 4WD),
LED tail lights and gesture tailgate (EL 4WD).
Inside, Honda has equipped the all-new CR-V diesel
with features like Silver and Piano Black (E 2WD)/Wood-Grain and Piano Black
(EL 4WD) garnish trim, i-Dual Zone automatic climate control system, Black (E
2WD)/Metallic (EL 4WD) leather steering wheel garnish, 8-way power driver seat
with 4-way lumbar support, 4-way power front seat assistant (EL 4WD) and 7-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay (EL 4WD).
Noteworthy safety and driver assistance features of
the 2017 Honda CR-V diesel include LaneWatch Blind Spot Display (EL 4WD),
driver attention monitor (EL 4WD), Agile Handling Assist, VSA, HSA and rearview
camera.
The 2017 Honda CR-V diesel E (2WD) retails at
1,549,000 Baht in the E (2WD) configuration. In the
pictured, EL 4WD configuration, the price increases to 1,699,000 Baht.
