Kawasaki Motors Enterprise (Thailand) showcased the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition and the Kawasaki Z300 ABS at the 2017 Thai Motor Expo.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition sports special Kawasaki Racing Team livery on the body panels. The display motorcycle features a pillion cowl for sportiness. Powering the sports tourer is a 649 cc DOHC parallel twin mill. The powerplant mates with a 6-speed transmission. Kawasaki says the fuel consumption of the engine is 6.8% better than the previous model, as per WMTC standard.

A 41 mm telescopic fork and an horizontal back-link monoshock hold the perimeter style frame. Brakes include 300 mm dual petal discs at the front, and a single 220 mm rear disc, both with ABS. For optimum riding range, Kawasaki has blessed the bike with a 15-litre fuel tank. The Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition costs THB 306,500, which is THB 7,000 more expensive than the regular colour variant.

Kawasaki claims the Z300 is the world’s first 300 cc supernaked. The styling clearly draws inspiration from the bigger Z1000. The display bike is the Candy Plasma Blue colour variant, which costs THB 175,000.

Powering the Kawasaki Z300 is a 296 cc DOHC engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. A 6-speed gearbox handles the transmission duty, and the motorcycle features a 17-litre fuel tank. Suspension bits include 37 mm telescopic front fork; and a rear Uni-Trak monoshock with 5-way adjustable preload. The motorcycle tips the scales at 170 kg, kerb. For braking, it uses 290 mm petal disc at the front, and a single rear 220 mm disc. Both brakes feature ABS.
