Ford revealed the current generation production-spec
Figo as the Ford Ka in Brazil in June 2014. Almost four years later, in the
first half of 2018, Ford will launch a mid-life refresh. The 2018 Ford Figo
(2018 Ford Ka) is currently undergoing testing in India and Brazil. New Spy
shots shared by CarandBike recently shed light on some of the cosmetic updates
the 2018 Ford Figo and 2018 Ford Aspire will receive.
The spy pictures partially reveal a new nose section
with a reprofiled Ford Fiesta-like grille, which is likely to feature chrome
studs on the top-end models. The headlamps have been re-profiled. This
particular example features black bezels. The test mule is shod with black
alloy wheels.
Previous spy pictures have revealed an updated
layout for the tail lamps of the Figo. Aside from the Figo and Aspire facelift,
Ford will also launch a cross variant of the hatchback complete with
quintessential crossover design features like body cladding, roof rails, and
bigger wheels.
Ford India will not be participating in next year’s
Auto Expo that kicks off on February 7, 2018. The company is expected to unveil
the 2018 Ford Figo and 2018 Ford Aspire sometime in the first half of next
year.
