Jaguar’s upcoming all-electric I-Pace SUV is
entering final validation testing ahead of its global reveal in early
2018. Jaguar has successfully tested
over 200 prototypes of the I-Pace, covering 1.5 million miles and 11,000 hours
of component rig testing and now says that we’re only months away from seeing
the final production version at its showrooms.
Thousands of potential customers have already placed
a deposit or registered their interest in buying the British electric SUV, with
Jaguar having invited a lucky few of them to accompany their engineers in the
final validation tests of the I-Pace.
For example, Ann Voyer from Pasadena wanted to find
out if the I-Pace would have enough range to complete her favorite road trip
along California’s West Coast and Jaguar took her on a long-distance 200-mile
range test -between Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, and Morro Bay, San Luis
Obispo- which was completed on a single charge.
Jaguar will announce the full specs and pricing of
the new all-electric I-Pace SUV in March 2018, when the order books will
officially open.
