Spy shots shared by CarWale have exposed the interior of the upcoming Ford Figo based crossover variant. The images partially reveal the dashboard layout of the model, which could possibly be christened Ford Figo Freestyle or Ford Figo Active.

For the new variant, the centre console of the current Figo has been redesigned to accommodate a touchscreen display for the infotainment system. The partially visible instrument console seems similar to the one the current Ford Figo sports. This particular example has manual air conditioning controls indicating that this may not be the top-end variant of the Ford Figo Cross aka Ford Figo Freestyle.

The aforementioned changes to the interior, along with the ones to the headlamps and grille are expected to trickle down to the Figo and Aspire twins as well. Both models are due for a facelift in 2018.

Another notable change/addition will be in the form of a new three-cylinder 1.2 L petrol engine from the Dragon family. This unit will output 95 hp and 115 Nm of torque according to a report. Expect the diesel variant of the Figo cross to employ the same 1.5 L TDCi diesel engine that powers to Figo and Aspire twins.

Ford hasn’t made any official announcements regarding the launch of the cross variant of the Figo or the 2018 Ford Figo and Aspire models. The company may choose to unveil the products in the first quarter of 2018.
