Earlier this month Maruti Suzuki launched the Maruti
Celerio X. IAB reader Ujjwal Saxena has shared live images of the new model from
a dealership. The Maruti Celerio X is marketed as a sporty and adventurous
variant of the Maruti Celerio. It features an exclusive exterior and interior
designed to appeal the young and social savvy consumers.
At the front, it
features ‘X’ graphic and grille design and black coloured bumper bezel. On the
sides, it gets black ORVMs, black B-pillars, black alloy wheels and black
flared fenders. Black roof rails accentuate the ruggedness achieved by these
elements. At the rear, the modified bumper in black has an add-on that looks
like a skid plate in a contrasting colour.
The Maruti Celerio X is available in Solid Paprika
Orange, Arctic White, Glistening Grey, Caffeine Brown and Torque Blue colours.
The Solid Paprika Orange shade is exclusive to the X variant. The Celerio X has
an all-black interior colour theme with white accents. Orange accents on the
black seat trim highlight the sportiness of the car.
The Maruti Celerio X is 3,715 mm long, 1,635 mm wide
and 1,565 mm tall. It has a 2,425 mm wheelbase and a 165 mm ground clearance.
Under the hood, is the K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that
produces 50 kW (68 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm.
Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual. The
Celerio X has a fuel economy rating of 23.1 km/l.
