Renault launched the Renault Captur in India only
last month. According to a report from Team-BHP, the company is working on a
Renault Captur Bose edition now.
A Bose edition Renault model’s special feature is
its premium sound system from Bose. The same will apply to the Renault Captur
Bose Edition. A similar edition of the Renault Captur is already available in
Europe. Based on that, we expect Renault to offer the Bose Premium sound system
with six high-definition speakers and a subwoofer in the Indian-spec Renault
Captur Bose edition. Other features may include a Bose badge on the front
quarter panels, exclusive alloy wheels, Bose sill plates and unique upholstery.
The Renault Captur is 4,329 mm long, 1,813 mm wide
and 1,619 mm tall. It has a 2,673 mm wheelbase and a class-leading 210 mm
ground clearance. The Logan/B0 platform-based SUV is available with two engine
options: 1.5 H4K petrol and 1.5 K9K dCi diesel. The petrol engine produces 106
PS at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is coupled to a 5-speed
manual transmission. The diesel engine develops 110 PS at 3,850 rpm and 240 Nm
of torque at 1,750 rpm. It sends power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual
transmission.
Renault offers the standard Captur’s range-topping
Platine grade only with the diesel engine. The price of the Bose edition may
fall somewhere in the INR 14.5-15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) range. The Renault
Captur Bose edition’s launch is expected to take place in April 2018.
