While the world is still waiting for the new Supra
to finally break cover, Toyota has dropped a teaser for a new Super Sport
Concept coming from its performance Gazoo Racing department. The new supercar
concept will debut at the 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon as a Le Mans-inspired flagship
of the GR range.
Toyota says that the concept will exhibit how they
can apply the lessons learned from their participation in the WEC racing series
to a car for the street, with the single teaser image revealing a pretty
hardcore automobile.
There’s no official information on whether
Toyota is actually thinking of putting a car like the upcoming Super Sport
Concept into production, leading us to believe that this is still to be
decided. The new supercar concept will debut on January 12 at the Tokyo Auto
Salon, along with Toyota’s new WEC racers and production models such as the
Toyota 86 GR and the Vitz GRMN.
