Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Street and Cruise variants of the 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220. Both the cruisers cost INR 92,954, ex-showroom, Maharashtra.

The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise comes with a new classic design headlamp with integrated LED DRL flanking the sides. The windshield also gets refreshed styling, and a cushioned pillion back rest is present as well. The new console incorporates a blue coloured backlit digital display. The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street gets roadster design headlamp with LED DRL at the bottom section; a bikini fairing and roadster style rear grab handle. The instrumentation in the Street features an amber coloured backlit digital display.

The tail fender is revised on both bikes, and the tail lamp has a halo-effect design. Bajaj has improved the rear twin shock absorbers with 12% additional travel whilst retaining the tight wheel and fender packaging of the cruiser. The front end uses telescopic fork. Brakes include 260 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum.

Power for the two cruisers comes from the 220 cc DTS-I engine with air and oil cooling. The mill is good for 19.03 PS at 8,400 rpm, and 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine pairs with a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj Auto has organised over 500 breakfast rides and 30 marque FLG tours which has engaged more than 6,000 Avenger riders in the last two years. The prime competitor of the 2018 Avenger range is the Suzuki Intruder 150.
