The 2018 Maruti Ciaz‘s spy shots have surfaced on the web yet again, courtesy carandbike. The new spy shots show the new front-end of the facelifted Maruti Ciaz.

The new spy shots strengthen the speculation that the 2018 Maruti Ciaz will look different from the Suzuki Alivio Pro. The Indian-spec facelifted Maruti Ciaz retains a front grille layout similar to that of the current model. The upper grille and lower grille both have a new design. The new bumper looks more dynamic than in the current model, and it seems to have made more space for the fog lamp housing. At the rear, the tail lamps apparently have the same design as those of the current model.

Inside, not much new is in the 2018 Maruti Ciaz. Maruti Suzuki could refresh the trim and upholstery and upgrade the infotainment system for enhanced operation. The current Ciaz is available with a 1.4-litre petrol engine that produces 92.45 PS and 130 Nm of torque and a 1.3-litre diesel engine that develops 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic (petrol-only) are the transmission choices. It’s unknown whether Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce any changes to the engines and transmissions with the MY2018 update.

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz’s launch timeline is currently unknown.
