The Bajaj Dominar 400 has been spotted in a light
blue colour variant. The bike also features gold alloy wheels. A matte black
variant with gold wheels was also spotted in December. In another instance, a
new red colour variant was spotted at a dealership in the same month. This
could indicate that the Pune-based bike maker is updating the Bajaj Dominar 400
with new colours for the 2018 version. This move could add some spice to the
bike’s market performance. At present, the Bajaj Dominar 400 is available in
Matte Black, Moon White, Midnight Blue, and Twilight Plum, as per the official
website.
Apart from the new colours, the mechanicals are
likely to remain the same as the existing motorcycle. The 373.3 single cylinder
engine with a 6-speed gearbox produces 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak
torque. Key features include full-LED lighting system, reverse back-lit LCD
instrumentation, slipper clutch and stamped metal swingarm.
The motorcycle comes with telescopic front fork and
a rear Nitrox monoshock. Brakes include 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc with
dual channel ABS as an option. In the cruiser segment, the bike rivals the
Royal Enfield Classic and Thunderbird range, and the UM Renegade range. The
normal variant costs INR 1,42,108 for the non-ABS version, and 1,56,270 for the
ABS version, both ex-showroom, New Delhi.
