The Datsun redi-GO AMT is now on sale in India, with
prices starting at INR 3.8 lakh*. Pre-bookings had started on the 10th of this
month and deliveries have commenced today.
The Datsun redi-GO AMT is available only in the
1.0-litre engine model. The iSAT three-cylinder petrol engine’s tunings are the
same as in the Datsun redi-GO MT. It produces 68 PS at 5,500 rpm and 91 Nm of
torque at 4,250 rpm and is coupled to a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
The redi-GO 1.0 AMT features a creep function called ‘Rush Hour Mode’ that
keeps the car accelerating at 5-6 km/h for a relaxed drive in stop-and-go
traffic. With a fuel economy rating (ARAI) of 23 km/l, the redi-GO 1.0 AMT is
more efficient than the redi-GO 1.0 MT (22.5 km/l).
On the outside, the Datsun redi-GO AMT features body
coloured bumpers, daytime running lights, body coloured door handles, B-pillar
black tape and 13-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers. Interior highlights
include silver finish on door handles, AC vents and steering wheel, foldable
rear seats, gearshift indicator, new audio system with Bluetooth connectivity
and driver airbag.
The Datsun redi-GO AMT is available in only the T(O)
and S grades, not the D, A and T grades. The redi-GO AMT T(O) costs INR 3,80,600*,
while the redi-GO AMT S retails at INR 3,95,505*.
