Suzuki’s premium scooter offering, the Suzuki
Burgman Street has been spied in the country for the first time. The design of the Suzuki Burgman Street is in line
with the Burgman range of premium scooters, which Suzuki sells abroad. Autocar
reports that Suzuki will launch the scooter in the country at the 2018 Auto
Expo next month. The scooter is also reportedly developed by Suzuki
indigenously.
The Suzuki Burgman Street seems to have an
apron-mounted windshield. The headlight is likely to be mounted on the apron.
The indicators appear to be of bulb-type, which flank the LED tail light. The
exhaust gets a stylish design as well. The scooter is
likely to have a telescopic front fork; front disc brake; digital instrument
cluster; large underseat storage space; 12V charging port, and tubeless tyres.
While the engine specifications of the scooter is
unknown, it is likely to use a 150 cc mill, as Suzuki already has a 125 cc
scooter which is doing well in the market. It would be the second maxiscooter
in the country, after the Kinetic Blaze. In the 150 cc scooter segment, the
Burgman Street will rival the Aprilia SR 150, and the Vespa VXL/SXL/Elegante
150. Expect more details about the upcoming scooter in the weeks ahead.
