Chevrolet is in the process of boosting its
redesigned 2018 Traverse lineup with the addition of the aggressive-looking RS
spec. Its unique styling elements include a black grille, black window trim,
black roof rails and black bowtie badges, as well as 20″ aluminum wheels with a
Dark Android finish.
Other features include the HID headlights and LED
daytime running lights, upper and lower active aero shutters, MyLink radio with
8″ touchscreen display, OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi, multicolor driver
info display, Jet Black leather-appointed seats, heated front seats, Universal
Home Remote, tri-zone climate control, Bose premium 10-speaker system, power
liftgate, keyless open, remote keyless entry and remote start.
As for safety systems, there is Lane Change Alert
with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist,
Surround Vision, Rear Camera Mirror, Rear Seat Reminder and Teen Driver.
Powering the Traverse RS is a direct-injection
Ecotec 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 257 HP and 400 Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission,
contributing to an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 20 mpg (11.0 lt/100km) in the
city and 26 mpg (9 lt/100km) on the highway.
The Traverse RS is already available for order in
the U.S. market, with an MSRP of US$ 43,095.
