Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2018 Maruti Swift in
India at Auto Expo 2018, with prices starting at INR 4.99 lakh.
The Heartect platform-based 2018 Maruti Swift is
available with a 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine and a 1.3-litre DDiS 190 diesel
engine. The petrol engine produces 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque, while
the diesel engine develops 74 hp and 190 Nm of torque. 5-speed
manual and 5-speed automated manual are the transmission choices. The all-new
Maruti Swift’s fuel economy rating is 22 km/l (petrol)/28.4 km/l (diesel). Its
diesel model is the most fuel-efficient model in the segment.
LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 15-inch
precision-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped
flat-bottomed steering wheel and 7-inch Smartplay touchscreen infotainment
system are some of the noteworthy features of the redesigned Maruti Swift. On
the safety front, dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD and BA are standard,
while reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera are available.
The 2018 Maruti Swift petrol/2018 Maruti Swift
diesel is available in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+/LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+ grades.
The petrol model’s prices range from INR 4.99-7.29 lakh. The diesel model’s
prices start at INR 5.99 lakh* and go up to INR 8.29 lakh.
